Corporate Profile
Lexicon Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on drug discovery and development.  Our company is dedicated to discovering and developing breakthrough treatment for human disease based on understanding how genes function.

We have used our proprietary gene knockout technology on an unprecedented scale to systematically discover the physiological and behavioral functions of almost 5,000 genes.  Through this initiative, known as the Genome5000™ program, we have identified and validated more than 100 drug targets and created a unique, growing clinical pipeline.

All of our drug targets have been identified internally as part of our Genome5000 program.  Currently, we are working towards commercialization of our discoveries in order to fight human diseases in cardiology, gastroenterology, immunology, metabolism, and ophthalmology.  Our goal is to enhance the lives of patients by discovering and developing breakthrough treatments for human disease.
